Medical opinion today unanimously recognises the important benefits provided by dietary supplements which include vegetable oils rich in polyunsaturated essential fatty acids (EFA’s).



Omega 3 & omega 6

Of the two major groups of essential fatty acids, it has been clinically shown that ω3 EFA’s are extremely valuable:
• In the prevention of cardio-vascular complaints (through a reduction in hypertension)
• In reducing the level of blood lipids
• For patients who are suffering from diabetes
• In stimulation of brain activity (the brain is the organ that is richest in ω3 EFA’s)

The ω6 group EFA’s are primarily implicated in the reduction of levels of harmful cholesterol in the blood.
