Agricultural systems in European countries are characterised by an intensive use of the soil, genetic homogeneity of crop varieties and a high level of mechanisation. This situation has aggravated the impact and frequency of diseases, which require frequent recourse to phyto-sanitary interventions. These have negative effects on the environment and promote the growth of strains of pathogens that are resistant to the active ingredients in use.

The post-harvest protection of food crops is a daily minefield for producers.

We need innovative biotechnological work to be carried out which involves biological attack on the disease organisms which damage harvests and crops and which will result in solutions which are original and which meet the required needs. The development of such procedures and of such products is a major consideration in the protection of harvests and in preserving them in the best possible condition.

With healthy, natural and effective products from plant sources, we can meet the real needs in this field and offer services to the European community and to the entire world.

Objective

The various crises that out country has experienced over the last few years have made us more distrustful and more demanding, so the search for new alternatives to chemical preservatives has become a major consideration. These problems relating to food and health have forced businesses to improve their quality systems and to check their sources of raw materials in order to protect harvested foodstuffs.

Essential oils contain active ingredients that exert indisputable anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-parasite actions.

Our objective is to carry out high level scientific research to perfect natural products obtained from plant sources in order to deal with a large number of problems that are regularly encountered with harvested foodstuffs. We offer essential oil based substances that have anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral actions and which can preserve agricultural harvests in the best condition.
